Athletic Club Bilbao closed Matchday 20 of LaLiga with a 5-1 win against Getafe.
The Basques, who just won the Spanish Super Cup, were surprised by a goal from Marc Cucurella (ESP) just in the first minute but they really took control of the game from there.
The first half barely ended 1-1 with a goal from Raúl García Escudero (ESP) at 12 ′.
But in the second half Athletic dispatched four goals. The first was by Yeray Álvarez (ESP) at 50 ′, taking advantage of a free kick caused by a foul by Jaime Mata (ESP).
García scored his second goal with an excellent head at 61 ′, Álex Berenguer (ESP) at 75 ′ after a pass from Iñaki WIlliams (ESP) and Óscar de Marcos (ESP) at 82 ′, taking advantage of a really careless Getafe defense.
With this place, Athletic rises to 8th in LaLiga, while Getafe remains 13th.
