This week's Global Podium for the best sportspeople in the world features Andrea Locatelli, Sifan Hassan and Mohammed Farah.
Gold: Andrea Locatelli (Italy, Motorcycling) Andrea Locatelli dominated Round 8 of the World Supersport Championship in Aragón and was riding third during Round 9 when Raffaele de Rosa (ITA) collided with Jules Cluzel (FRA). This opened the door to the Italian, who now breaks the record of most World Supersport race wins in a year, and extends his record of more consecutive race wins and most consecutive race wins from début, having won all nine races this year. Silver: Sifan Hassan (Netherlands, Athletics) Both Sifan Hassan and Mo Farah (ENG) broke the One-Hour Run World Record at the Brussels Diamond League Meet (AG Memorial Van Damme), albeit Hassan broke the record by a bit over a lap, while Farah broke it for a bit over 55 meters.
