Chelsea defeated Leeds 3-1 and with this score they keep their Premier League lead. Manchester United also came from behind to win 3-1 this morning.
Patrick Bamford (ENG) surprised the Blues with a quick score in the fourth minute as he found an empty goal when he rounded Mendy (FRA). Giroud (FRA) scored the first goal for Chelsea from close range to make both teams end the first half with an equal score.
The second half saw Chelsea scored the two goals that would define the match. First, Kurt Zouma (FRA) put it in with a header from a corner. Then Christian Pulisic (USA) tapped it in for the third.
Chelsea comes from a big 4-0 win against Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League. They face Krasndar next Tuesday in a match where they do not have much at stake since they are already qualified to the next round but they want to seal their deserved first place in the opening round of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Leeds United is 13th on the Premier League with a 4-3-5 record.
