Vincent Kriechmayr (AUT) had won two consecutive gold medals in World Cups within the Super-G discipline and continued his momentum by winning the gold medal at the Alpine Ski World Championship, in Cortina D’Ampezzo (ITA).
The silver medal went to Robed Baumann (GER) and the bronze went to Alexis Pinturault (FRA), specialist in technical races and a great candidate for gold in them.
