Caleb Plant (USA) defeated Caleb Truax (USA) to defend his International Boxing Federation Super Middle World Championship by Unanimous Decision.
In the first round there were no major power shots. They studied each other. Caleb Plant established dominance with the jab.
The rest of the fight was very similar. It wasn’t really spectacular but Plant totally dominated, utilizing the distance with his jab-uppercut combination and some power shots.
Veteran Truax had a few moments where he tried to land power shots and did land a few but it’s hard to win a round.
Plant took the unanimous decision and at the end of the fight said that he will be the first unified World Champion in the Super Middleweight … For which he has to defeat everyone in front, including Saúl Álvarez, but he would certainly not be a favorite for win said fight …
