The UEFA Champions League will crown an English team. It will be either Pep Guardiola’s (ESP) Manchester City -Premier League Champions- or Thomas Tuchel’s (DEU) Chelsea, trying to rebound off losing the FA Cup Final and being just 4th in the Premier League.
This year’s Indy 500 might be one of the best we have seen. Pole Day was a mixture of some of the youngest and some of the most veterans fighting it out for the pole. Scott Dixon (NZL) won his fourth Pole Position, just ahead of young drivers Colton Herta (USA) and Rinus van Kalmthout (NED). Hélio Alves de Castro Neves (BRA) will attempt to win for a fourth time. He starts eighth.
One day before the Indy 500 there will be dirt races in the nearby Indianapolis Raceway Park, and right after the race, NASCAR will have its traditional Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte.
The Giro D’Italia will conclude. Egan Bernal (COL) extended his lead by winning the queen Stage 16 at Cortina d’Ampezzo.
In Horse sports, Longines Global Champions Tour continues in France after its Spanish round while the Japanese Derby will take place.
There will be four Boxing World Title fights, including two where the Champions will face veteran former Champions. Haney (USA) vs Linares (VEN) and Oubaali (FRA) vs Donaire (FIL).
The prestigious Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament will be held as usual in the US while its cousin sport, Skateboarding, will see the start of the Street World Championship in Italy.
Moto GP reaches Italy and it is very difficult to know who will be the winner. Can Marc Márquez (ESP) finally rebound?
Extreme E will have its second event, this time in Lac Rose, Senegal. The Ocean ePrix wants to showcase the impact of pollution in the ocean.
Other World Championship events include the Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships and the continuation of the Ice Hockey World Championships.
