GLOBAL SPORTS AGENDA
Week Preview |
The Tour de France continues after the rest day and Primož Roglič (SLO) leads over current Champion Egan Bernal (COL) but the most impressive has been Wout van Aert (BEL), who has won two stages comfortably. He is only 43rd. Formula 1 continues its Italian tour but this time without the Porsche Supercup, as Larry ten Voorde (NET) already won the Championship. The DTM meanwhile will go back to Germany after their stop in Netherlands, where local driver Robin Frijns (NET) took his first win. So did Rookie Sheldon Van der Linde (RSA) under the rain. England has clinched the T20 Series against Australia so star Jos Buttler will be given permission to see his family after 10 weeks, but will be back for the One Day International Series. The Darts PDC Autumn Series will begin, featuring Michael Van Gerwen (NET), who is set to lose his four-year World reign after losing in the Premier League Darts, but will not feature Gary Anderson (SCO), who has decided to skip the tournament on covid-related concerns. It will be a busy week for team sports in North America, with the first half of the NHL Conference Finals between the New York Islanders (#6) and Tampa Bay Lightning (#2), and (#3) Dallas Stars against (#1) Vegas Golden Knights. The NBA will also have a defining week with the Conference Semifinals. The remaining teams are: Milwaukee, Miami, Toronto, Boston, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston, Los Angeles Clippers and Denver. |
