In a close match, stuck and with little clarity, El Salvador and Honduras drew 1-1 in a match in Group B of the 2021 CONCACAF Soccer Olympic Qualifier.
The first goal was scored by Honduras at the beginning of the second half, with a good “palomita” header from Douglas Martínez.
At 64′ Márvin Márquez tied for El Salvador thanks to the fact that he literally pushed his body to the ball when it was bouncing along the line. He impacted with his head for the 1-1.
With this result Canada and Honduras have 4 points respectively while El Salvador and Haiti have 1 point respectively. All teams still have options to play in the semifinals, although a draw is enough for Canada and Honduras in their next match.
