Who will a medal on every event at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020?
The Games of the XXXII Olympic in its modern edition have just started with the first football and softball games.
We have decided to make a prediction for every single event at the Olympic Games and tell you who we expect to be on the podium in Tokyo.
These will be very unpredictable Olympic Games due to the pandemic, which could cause last minute withdrawals, because they have altered training plans and also because several athletes have not been able to compete at all, or have had limited competition.
Fortunately sport is enriched by upsets, breakthroughs and both the expectation and uncertainty that are inherent in sport.
Nevertheless, we expect our medal predictor to be the most accurate you can find anywhere. Le’s see how we do!
As a note, we release this list July 20th. By now there are several sports that have not released their competition brackets.
The brackets, especially in direct elimination sports can significantly alter the outcome of each competition. We did our best to consider potential brackets as well.
Below you will find the medal predictor event by event plus a general prospective medal tally. We expect the United States to top the tally once again, followed by China and Japan.
