Gold: Cheah Liek Hou (Malaysia, Para Badminton) The Malaysian continued to increase his legacy as the best Para Badminton player of all time by winning the Men’s Singles SU5 at the World Championships, his 12th World Championship gold. He also won a silver medal in the Men’s Doubles SU5 along Mohamad Faris Ahmad Azri. They were beaten by Dheva Anrimusthi and Hafizh Briliansya (IDN). Anrimusthi lost the singles final to Hou. |
Silver: Pramod Bhagat (India, Para Badminton) Bhagat is the second most successful Para Badminton player of all time, by now having won the gold medal in the Men’s Singles SL3 at the World Championship. This is his fifth World Championship medal. He was also a silver medalist, along Manoj Sarkar in the Doubles SL3–SL4, where they were beaten by Hikmat Ramdani and Ukun Rukaendi (IDN). Indonesia won the overall medal tally. |
Bronze: Veronika Vadovičová (Slovakia, Para Shooting) The Slovakian continues to increase her legacy as one of the most successful Para Shooters of all time by adding yet another World title to her career. Now she won the R3 – mixed 10m air rifle prone SH1 with a World Record mark, 255,2 points. This is her fourth world title. |
